Hannah Orenstein is a writer and editor who lives in New York.
She is the assistant features editor at Seventeen.com, where she writes about teen life, pop culture, relationships, sex ed, and astrology.
Her first novel, PLAYING WITH MATCHES, is forthcoming in 2018. It’s a workplace comedy about a young college grad who takes a job as a matchmaker and must balance her messy personal life with the demands of her quirky clients. She is represented by Allison Hunter at Janklow & Nesbit Associates. Her editor is Kaitlin Olson at Touchstone Books (an imprint of Simon & Schuster).

As a journalism and history major at NYU, Hannah interned at Seventeen, ELLE, Cosmopolitan.com, the Huffington Post, Mashable, and Her Campus; worked as a matchmaker for wealthy New Yorkers; co-founded the interview series The HBIC Project; founded Her Campus’s high school vertical and high school ambassador program; and studied abroad in Paris. She also, on occasion, went to class.
Hannah is a magazine junkie, book hoarder, bagel snob, vintage lover, Twitter addict, and proud New Yorker. She owns 37 tubes of red lipstick and one cat.
