Hannah Orenstein is a writer and editor living in New York.
She is an editorial intern at Cosmopolitan.com, the entertainment editor at NYU Local, and the editor-in-chief of The HBIC Project, an interview series that highlights the accomplishments of incredible 20-something women.
Her work has appeared on Cosmopolitan.com, Refinery29, xoJane, Bustle, Thought Catalog, and more. Previously, she was an editorial intern at ELLE, Seventeen, the Huffington Post, Mashable, and Her Campus, and a matchmaker at the dating service Tawkify. During her three years as a staff writer at Her Campus, she founded and edited the High School section, and founded and managed the High School Ambassador program, in which she taught weekly virtual lessons in journalism and public relations to 100 high school students across the country and abroad.
Hannah is well-versed in writing for the women’s, college, and teen markets. She frequently covers entertainment, relationships, health, style, college, human interest stories, and personal essays.
In her free time, Hannah likes to read old magazines, make Mean Girls references, and hang out with her cat Eloise. When she turns 70 and pens a memoir, it will be titled Perpetually In Search of a Bagel.
